Week of April 30th

Hello Families

We were finally able to get into the garden and work last week! WE planted carrots, radishes, lettuce, spinach, snap peas, cilantro, and dill! Hoopefully we will be able to harvest at least once before the end of the school year! We will plant our summer crops in the upcoming weeks. Be sure to take a walk around our garden and check out the signs the children made to help protect our garden from destruction!

We will begin our study of Eric Carle books this week and explore more plant and gardening topics. We also ordered our caterpillars last week and so we will incorporate the life cycle of a butterfly as soon as they arrive.

We want to thank all of the parents who have donated cleaning supplies to our classroom. We are stocked up for the rest of the year!

Many of you have received emails about enrollment in preschool for next year. If you are currently in our class you do not need to reapply for next year. You will automatically be enrolled for next year. The preschool teachers have received the following timeline for applications (for new children who would like to enroll in preschool next year for the very first time…again not children currently in the preschool program who are returning next year)
