Week of April 23rd

Hello Parents:

We want to thank all of the parents who came to Parent & Teacher Conferences! We would also like to thank George, CeCe, and Justine for being awesome musical guests! We thoroughly enjoyed our celebrations last week!

We were finally able to prep the soil for planting last week! Yay! We are planning on planting Monday and Tuesday. We are also going to redo our Lima bean sprouting activity. Many of the seeds did not sprout (we think it was because it was so cloudy last week)! We are going to try the activity with peas (thanks for the suggestion Jo-Lin (Baea’s mom) and water soaked Lima beans. Hopefully we have more success the second time around.

We will wrap up our Goldilocks study this week and move onto more spring type topics. We will be diving into our gardening and spring books as well as spend more time outdoors. Please remember to slather your child with sunscreen every day!

As I have stated before, I will be out on a medical leave beginning the afternoon of May 22nd. I am happy to announce that Christy Papczun (Leah’s mom) will be my substitute teacher while I am on leave. We are super excited to have her in our classroom.

We are still in need of: paper towels and Clorox wipes. We will clean every toy, game, and manipulative in our room before we end for the summer. We would really appreciate any donation of paper towels and Clorox wipes. Thanks!
