Week of April 9th

Hello Parents:

We will attempt to begin working in the garden this week. Hopefully the weather will cooperate! We will attempt to prep the soil Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. We will pull out any old plants and top off our soil with either soil or compost. Thursday in both the morning and afternoon the plan is for us to plant our seeds. We will be planting pea shoots, lettuce, radishes, spinach, and carrots. These are all quick growing seeds, so hopefully we will be able to harvest all or most of them before the end of the school year!

If you would like to help in the garden this week we would love to have a few parent volunteers! The very first planting of the year is a big undertaking and we could use a couple of extra eyes and hands. Just let us know if you would like to assist us! Thanks!

We will also be delving into our Goldilocks study. We will take a week or two and explore all the unique versions of the story! Be sure to ask your child about what adventures Goldilocks and bears are having in the stories.

If your child is going to kindergarten next year, please be sure to sign up for a Parent and Teacher Conference. The clipboard is located next to the sign-in sheets. We will be having a special session for the students who are returning to preschool next year- TBD.
