Week of April 3rd

Hello Parents,

The children have been working hard analyzing the various stories.  Please be sure to check out all of the detailed work the children have completed.  The children will be bringing home their Story Elements work this week to share with families.  The children focused on: the setting, the characters, the problems, and the solution.  Be sure to ask your child about those aspects of the story.

In addition, to our Goldilocks study we have been working hard on “Movement & Music”, making sets of 3, 4, and 5 (age collages), and patterning.  Please be sure to check out the math area to view our cool hula hoop math game!

This week will be extending our math focus by adding measurement to the focus.  Please check out the following link to view what we will be doing this week: .  The video is a part of Erikson’s early math series that I participated in a few years ago.  I will post more links as I continue to use the various techniques that are highlighted in the series.
