December 7, 2015

Hello Parents:
We will continue our study of the various versions of the Gingerbread Man. Please be sure to check out the vocabulary words we have been discussing. The list is posted on the chalk board. The children have been working hard on the story summaries as well. Please be sure to check out all of the charts and diagrams we have worked on. The children will end the school year with finishing their study of the Gingerbread Boy with Ms. Byas leading the exploration.
We will have our Gingerbread Man/Winter celebration on Thursday, December 10th. I will be supplying the Gingerbread cookies (thanks to Mariano’s Grocer).
We want to thank everyone who signed up to bring in items for our celebration! We would also like to thank the parents who agreed to stay and assist us with the celebration!
Starting on December 11th I will be out on a short medical leave and Ms. Gail Byas will be the substitute teacher. Ms. Byas is a very competent and a caring teacher. She is familiar with the students and the routine. She has substituted in preschool for several years and has filled in for me on my last medical leave. I will return to school on January 4th. I will most likely have a few restrictions, thus I will be asking for parent volunteers to assist in the classroom for about a week or so. If you are able to volunteer the week of January 4th please sign-up on the calendar. We are very appreciative for your support and assistance! Thank You!
Dates to Remember:
