November 2, 2015

Hello Parents:

We want to thank all of the families who participated in our 1st Parent & Child Activity! We were happy to see such a huge turnout. We will be conducting at least 3-4 more this year, so be sure to check the blog often to make sure you are able to attend the sessions.
We also want to thank all of the adults that volunteered on our very 1st field trip to Eden’s Place Nature Center. The children had such a great time and thankfully the weather was gorgeous.

We will begin exploring the beautiful fall leaves. We will go on several walks exploring the leaves and fall changes that are occurring in the neighborhood. Please dress your child with warm clothes and/or the ability to layer their clothes. It will most likely be a bit brisk in the next few weeks and we will be spending extended time outdoors exploring and observing on our campus (children will not be running and playing on the playground equipment at this time, thus they may need warmer clothing).
We will also need new play dough in November. Please sign up if you would like to make a batch for us.
The November calendar for volunteers and is posted. Please sign up to volunteer if you would like to spend time in our classroom or help out with “housekeeping” duties as well.
We want to thank all of the parents who will be volunteering on our field trip to Eden’s Place Nature Center. If you have signed up to volunteer there will be a field trip chaperone expectation sheet in your child’s mailbox. Please take a minute to read over it, so that we can ensure that the field trip is safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Please remember to join the Ray PTA if you have not already done so.
Please see archived September 2015 posts for information about the Lottery for Kindergarten.
