Week of September 23rd

Dear Parents:

If you received a reminder to turn in missing paperwork, please turn in missing (required) items ASAP.

We would also like to thank Yaping (Emilie’s Mom) for making playdough for the classroom. There are many slots available if you would like to sign up. The sign-up calendar is next to the sign in sheets! We have slots available for the entire year!

We are very thankful that several parents have agreed to volunteer when our wonderful parent worker Maggie Swanson is out for 3 weeks. We would love to have a few more parents help out if possible. We need assistance on the playground and during quiet time. We need assistance each day from 12:00 -2:00. Parents will always be accompanied by me or Ms. Maggie. Please let us know if you can volunteer for both or even one of the hours.

We would greatly appreciate it. We need The children have worked diligently to learn school expectations this week. We will continue to review the limits and expectations throughout the week and the rest of the school year. The children completed their Age Collages and had in depth discussions and participated in short skits with Ms. Maggie focusing on our “Work It Out Wheel”. We also enjoyed cherry tomatoes from our garden.

We will finish up our study of “All About Me” this week.
Please remember books/math bags are to be returned each Tuesday and Check Out will occur on Wednesday. Please be sure to place the returned books in the RED Return Book Bin…please do not place them back on the book shelf.

If your child has not received a “Me Bag” they will be receiving one in the next few weeks. Please be sure to send it back as soon as your can. Please remember to complete your child’s All About Me home pages and turn them in by Friday, September 27th.

Once we have wrapped up the “All About Me” topic of study will be moving on to Fall/Autumn topic of study (The 2nd week of October). We will be collecting cool gourds and small pumpkins. If you see a cool gourd that you would like to donate to our collection we would highly appreciate it!
I am hoping that everyone is settled into preschool by mid-October. If everyone continues to transition into the classroom smoothly I will be asking for parent volunteers to begin helping out in the classroom or doing “housekeeping” duties for our room. If you are interested please see me.

Volunteer Process for
Classroom Visitors and Field Trip Chaperones

As many of our students participate in field trips, it is imperative chaperones have completed the volunteer process. For classroom volunteers and field trip chaperones adults simply need to complete the short online application process at

Volunteers must also have a picture ID on file for the school.

If you are interesting in volunteering in the classroom or chaperoning any field trip you MUST complete online application and provide a photo ID. Please complete both of these requirements by Friday, September 28th so that we can ensure that we have enough volunteers for our upcoming field trip.

****If you have already filled out the volunteer paper work and were approved to be a volunteer please let me know and I will be sure to confirm it with administration.

Dates to Remember:
Wednesday, September 25th- Family Fun Night on the East Playground. Please be sure to bring a blanket, a snack, and games to share
Friday, September 27th- All About Me sheets are due.
October 14th- No School-Indigenous People’s Day

Have a great week,

Ms. Bethanie & Ms. Maggie
