We have concluded our Eric Carle Study with a bang! The pancake party was a huge hit! Special thanks to Katie (Neil’s mommy) and Jenn (Arthur’s mommy) for staying and helping out! We really appreciate it! As you all know by now, we have had a flood and many of our books were damaged, but most of items we were able to clean up and save! Thank you Leslie (Micah’s mommy) for rearranging your schedule to stay and help sanitize our materials! We are also having some heating issues in the building and we have been working with Ms. Graham’s classroom until the issue is solved! We all begin and end the day together, but we split the two classrooms up- one class goes to the gross motor (bike) room and the other class is in my classroom. The children have been really great with the adjustment, hopefully the problem will be resolved soon!
We will begin our Classic and Fairy Tale Study. We will begin with Goldilocks and the 3 Bears in correlation with the storyteller and Storybus. If you have any classic stories or fairy tales that are unique (maybe in a language other than English) and you would like to share we would be very grateful!
UPCOMING AWESOME ACTIVITIES
Tuesday, February 26: Storyteller, all children attend morning class from 8:45-11:20
Wednesday, February 27: Half Day, afternoon class attends from 8:45-11:20
Monday, March 4: Story Bus will be coming for a visit.
Storyteller: We have a very special storyteller coming on February 26th, we don’t want anyone to miss out on this activity. Therefore, both the classes are asked to attend the morning class from 8:45-11:20.
Story bus: The story bus is a moving museum. The children will have a half hour to explore the story bus on March 4th. Right now the story bus is set up for the “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” The children will have a chance to interact with different materials from the story. It is a great experience; we are so excited to share with the preschoolers.
