We would like to thank all of the families, staff, and our students for making the Preschool Fundraiser such a huge success! WOW! What an amazing night! We raised well over our goal! So far we have raised just over $5,000 with money coming in from additional art sales. This money will be used to pay for our music program and to support other special events throughout the school year. We would especially like to thank Lindsey (Mile’s mommy), Leslie (Micah’s mommy), Angie (Mackenzie’s mommy), Kara (Naomi’s mommy), Katie (Neil’s mommy) and all of the parents who helped with the any part of the pre-auction, auction, and clean up! We truly appreciate all of the time and effort that was put forth by our awesome parents!

We have taken a brief dive into a “Deep Math Focus” the children have been showing a great amount of enthusiasm in solving math problems. We will take this week and next week to focus on some interesting math activities which will take us right into to our first Parent & Child Math Activity of the year. Please be sure to check out the bulletin boards and the work boards in the classroom to see what math problems the children have been solving!
The Math Activity will be held in the student cafeteria from 9:15-10:30 a.m. Both the morning and afternoon class will attend the morning activity. There will not be afternoon session. Parents (or caregivers) are required to STAY and experience the activities with their child. These activities are designed to give parents first-hand experiences on the math curriculum that is used in the classroom and what math skills their child may need more support with. Hopefully, parents will get fresh ideas of how to support math experiences at home.
We will also begin our Author/Illustrator Study of Eric Carle next week. We will be exploring books that are classics and newer stories either written or illustrated by Eric Carle. If you have any unique Eric Carle books that you would be willing to share with us, we would really appreciate it!
We are still eating our way through the snacks that were brought in earlier. We will alert parents of when we are in need of more snack!
